The makers of Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika - The Queen of Jhansi took to Twitter to announce the release date of the movie. It will hit the theatres on January 25, 2019. On the same day, Hrithik Roshan's Super 30 is also slated for release.

Hrithik's movie is the biopic on a Patna-based mathematician Anand Kumar, who trains a batch of 30 aspiring IIT candidates every year. The name of the film is undeviatingly drawn from Mr Kumar's coaching programme “Super 30”, started in 2002 as part of which 30 financially weak students from Patna are trained for IIT admissions every year.

After all the chaos the Hrithik-Kangana controversy generated for the last two years, it is still the hottest topic to gossip. It will be interesting to see both faces in the most significant clash of the year.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh too tweeted, “Mark the date: #Manikarnika -The Queen Of Jhansi to release on 25 Jan 2019 [Republic Day]... Stars Kangna Ranaut... Directed by Krish... Produced by Zee Studios and Kamal Jain (sic).”

The period drama also features Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Jisshu Sengupta as Gangadhar Rao, Sonu Sood as Sadashiv and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkarbai. According to reports, Kangana's movie was earlier scheduled for November 29 this year but was postponed due to some unfinished portion.

Meanwhile, Hrithik's Super 30 has already been rescheduled once - earlier, and it was listed to arrive in theatres on November this year.

Kangana is currently shooting in London for Mental Hai Kya which also features Rajkummar Rao. She will also shoot for Ashwini Iyer Tiwary’s next in which Kangana will be seen as a kabbadi player.
