Mumbai: The Indian Twenty20 International (T20I), One Day International (ODI) and Test squads were announced on Sunday (July 21) for the tours of the US and West Indies. Shikhar Dhawan, who was injured during the World Cup 2019, has returned to T20I and ODI squads.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) selection panel, headed by MSK Prasad, met in Mumbai today to pick the three squads. Virat Kohli will lead the squads in all three formats.

Jasprit Bumrah was rested from limited-overs matches. Dinesh Karthik was dropped from the ODI squad while Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Khaleel Ahmed and Navdeep Saini were called up. All-rounder Hardik Pandya's name was missing from all three squads. Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha returned to the Test squad which also has Rishabh Pant.

This will be India's first overseas tour since the ICC World Cup 2019 where the Virat Kohli-led team lost in the semi-finals to New Zealand.

Former India skipper MS Dhoni had made himself unavailable for the tour. However, he has ruled out retirement from the limited-overs formats.

"We would like to clarify three things. MS Dhoni is not retiring from cricket right now. He is taking a two-month sabbatical to serve his paramilitary regiment which he had committed much earlier. We have now intimated his decision to skipper Virat Kohli and chairman of selectors MSK Prasad," a senior BCCI official told PTI on Saturday.

India will play three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests from August 3 to September 3.
