London: The ICC World Cup 2019 in England and Wales will see 10 teams vying for top honours with 150 players camping in the United Kingdom (UK) for nearly two months.

The teams, including India, have arrived in England and will feature in warm-up games before the real action unfolds on May 30. The tournament will end on July 14 with the big final at the iconic Lord’s ground.

Each team is allowed to choose a 15-member squad. While the 50-over World Cup is the biggest event hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the fans eagerly wait for this extravaganza every four years. In between there is the Twenty20 World Cup and the Champions Trophy but there is nothing like the ODI World Cup.

India captain Virat Kohli will go into the World Cup as the top-ranked ODI team while his compatriot Jasprit Bumrah is the number one bowler in the ICC Rankings. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan holds the numero uno position among the ODI all-rounders.
