In an era where cybercrime has become one of the most silent and deadly threats to India's internal stability, one brave officer has gone beyond badges and battalions to equip citizens with the most powerful weapon of all — knowledge.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), Rajesh Dandotiya, has authored a deeply impactful book titled ‘Cyber Rakshak’, which was officially launched today by Indore Police Commissioner Santosh Kumar Singh at a public ceremony. But this isn’t just another book. This is a digital shield, a civilian's guide to India’s new war front — cyberspace.

Dandotiya has served the Madhya Pradesh Police for over 20 years, facing off against hardened criminals. Yet, he says the most dangerous enemy is the one who doesn’t break in with guns, but slips in quietly through phones and laptops.

“Cybercrime is no longer just a technical problem. It is a national security issue. When students, professionals, homemakers and even senior citizens fall prey to fake calls, loan apps, blackmail and voice cloning, we need to understand this is a war — and we must prepare our people,” he said at the launch.

‘Cyber Rakshak’ (which translates to “Cyber Protector”) explains more than 35 types of cyber threats — from OTP fraud and phishing to sextortion and social media impersonation — through real case studies and simple language, empowering even non-technical readers. It doesn’t just list crimes; it teaches prevention, mental preparedness, and timely response.

Dandotiya, who has conducted over 600 cyber awareness seminars across India, was recently awarded an honorary doctorate by Maryland State University (USA) for his pioneering work in cybercrime prevention and public education.

The book is published by Mahagatha Publications, a rising name in cultural and national-interest literature. Its founder Devrishi, a spiritual author and social reformer, called Cyber Rakshak “a yajna of awareness” — an offering of truth and vigilance in a world increasingly plagued by digital deception.

“When police officers take up the pen not to punish but to protect through awareness, it is no longer just a book. It becomes a mission. Mahagatha is proud to support this effort for a more alert and resilient India,” said Devrishi.

Cyber Rakshak is now available on Amazon and Flipkart, and is being actively recommended for educational institutions, law enforcement bodies, and civic organizations across India.

In a nation racing toward Digital India, Rajesh Dandotiya stands as a rare example of a public servant who serves not just through action, but through enlightenment. Through Cyber Rakshak, he has lit a lamp of awareness in the dark corners of the digital age — and that, too, is service to the nation.
