Mumbai: Parineeti Chopra loves to eat, but being an actor, she has to be conscious about her figure and hence cannot go about binging. Does that mean Parineeti does not feel like eating spicy food? Of course, she does! And in order to satisfy that desire, the Golmaal Again star has found a way out.

The actor told MyNation, “Whenever I see a tasty dish, which I cannot eat due to my diet, I smell it. Smelling the food partially satisfies my desire to eat it. This is what Tiger (Shroff) has taught me and Alia (Bhatt). When I go to a restaurant and see a waiter carrying some nice food on a tray, I call him and smell it. I am sure the waiters think I am crazy but I can’t stop myself from doing it!”

The 30-year-old further revealed that she abstains from fried food like samosas. “One should not eat samosa at all, whether that person is on diet or not. It is deep-fried, there is nothing healthy in it, it just tastes good. I don’t feel like eating samosa or any other fried stuff. I don’t need to suppress my desire to eat it, I just do not feel the desire anymore. This is me now. I have become like this over time.”

Parineeti had made an impressive debut with movies such as Ishaqzaade and Shuddh Desi Romance but in the last few years, she has also experienced a few flops in her career such as Namaste England, Daawat-e-Ishq, Meri Pyari Bindu and others. However, the actor chooses to be positive and optimistic as she believes that hits and flops are all a part of the game.

Talking about it, she said, “I don’t feel any kind of pressure. You (journalists) create pressure on us. You keep on questioning about the same thing, and I don’t find that healthy. I don’t regret choosing any film which didn’t work or doing anything in life. Hits and flops are all a part of the game. Sometimes luck favours you like I had quite a few hits in my initial years. But I had used the same brain and judgement to choose projects back then, as I am doing now. I remember, when I had signed Golmaal Again, you all had asked me, why I am doing an ensemble cast film, but today, it is my biggest hit ever!”

On the work front, the actor's latest release is Kesari, a historical drama based on the battle of Saragarhi, where she is playing Akshay Kumar’s late wife. Parineeti has several other projects in her kitty, including Saina Nehwal biopic, where she has been roped in as a replacement for Shraddha Kapoor, who was earlier supposed to play Saina. Talking about the same, Parineeti said, “I wanted to do a sports-based film. It’s a part of my personality as an actor that I have never explored. I am so happy that I get to portray a strong and powerful girl like Saina.”

She also shared that she will be starting her badminton training soon, as a part of her preparation for doing the role. The film is expected to hit theatres early next year.
