There are occasionally good movies that can restore your sense of reason. There is also no shortage of these high-caliber films in Bollywood. All that indicates is that we don't hear much about these underrated movies because of the marketing tactics of well-known commercials, which they usually can't afford.

The following list of five underappreciated Bollywood films will satisfy your appetite for top-notch filmmaking:

1. Udaan:
A cinematic masterpiece about coming of age, Udaan is regarded as one of the greatest neglected films ever made. The plot centers on the turbulent path of 17-year-old Rohan, who was expelled from school and had to face the unpleasant reality of having to go back to his violent, intoxicated father.

2. Runway 34:
Runway 34 tells the story of Captain Vikrant Khanna, a remarkable pilot who performed an incredible blinded landing. The story takes a turn when an investigation headed by Narayan Vedant starts, revealing a number of questions that would reveal an entirely other story. At first, the public hails him as a hero.

3. Lootera:
An Indian historical romance film from the 1950s is called Lootera. The two main characters of the story are Pakhi Roy Chaudhary, the daughter of a wealthy Bengali zamindar, and Varun Shrivastav, a young archaeologist. By pretending to be an archaeologist on a mission, Varun enters Pakhi's life and hides his genuine goal.

4. The Lunchbox:
One of the best-kept Indian films, The Lunchbox, tells the story of the odd friendship that develops between Saajan, an elderly office worker, and Ila, who is a lonely housewife, over a misplaced lunchbox delivery in Mumbai.
The film covers love, loneliness, and the unpredictability of life in a subtle way, as the characters develop a special friendship through their lunchbox dialogue.

5. Shakuntala Devi:
The biographical movie Shakuntala Devi tells the story of the unusual life of Shakuntala Devi, a mathematical genius. Referred to as the "human computer," she stunned everyone with her unmatched capacity for mental computation of difficult mathematical problems.
Her path, her relationships, and the difficulties she had juggling parenting and her mathematical prowess are all explored in the movie.
