Coming back to Abhishek and Aishwarya, did you know how they fell in love and what the actor did when he realised he was in love with Aishwarya? Abhi and Aish first met on the sets of Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, where she was cast opposite Bobby Deol. Abhishek went to meet his best friend Bobby and there he saw Aishwarya. However, it was not love at first sight; both worked in many films later on. But it was during the shooting of the film Guru that they felt something for each other.

Many thought that both Abhishek and Aishwarya fell in love while filming for Kajra Re.

In an interview, Abhishek had said that while shooting for Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, he realised he loves Aishwarya and started crying, ''There was this scene, which was actually my favourite scene in KANK (Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna). There is a scene where I come back and tell Rani (Mukerji) that my father has passed away. And I give her a photograph and I take out this photograph and tell her that he wanted you to have it... I saw it and it was my father's photograph. After Karan said ‘cut' I went to the side and I just broke down... I also realised, that was the first time I told somebody that you know, I think I'm in love with Aishwarya.'

Soon, Abhishek decided to propose to Aishwarya after the premiere of the film in Toronto, with a ring they had used in Guru. And when Aishwarya said 'yes' to his proposal, Abhishek called his father Amitabh Bachchan immediately.

Karan Johar played cupid:
Abhishek, in his interview, revealed that Karan Johar played matchmaker who kept putting in the idea that she is fantastic. And that both will look so wonderful together. In February 2006, Amitabh's brother Ajitabh Bachchan met a Bangalore-based astrologer Chandrashekhar Swamy with the horoscopes of Aishwarya and Abhishek. And later, both tied the knot on April 20, 2007; rest is history.
