Amitabh Bachchan, who recently received Dadasaheb Phalke Award is grabbing headline because of an old video, where we can see him heading back from the hospital. 

The video is from the year 1983, when he returned from the hospital after suffering a fatal injury on the sets of his hit film Coolie. The clip is black and white where Big B is being welcomed by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, mother Teji Bachchan, wife Jaya Bachchan and fans.

Ever since he stepped into the film industry with Saat Hindustani, megastar Amitabh Bachchan has left no stone unturned to entertain the audience with his brilliant acting prowess. After dedicating five decades to the film world, Big B was finally announced as the recipient of this year's Dadasaheb Phalke Award.

The video shows him stepping out his car wearing a white kurta-pyjama, along with a shawl wrapped around his shoulders. Later, he is seen touching his father's feet and kissing him on his cheeks. He then goes to his mother Teji, who gives him a tight hug and he showers her with kisses. 

Amitabh had suffered severe injuries while shooting at the Bangalore University campus when he missed a jump and landed on a table abruptly.

"Today the 24th September is exactly two months from the date I was injured and I sit here before you as a result of the efforts of the doctors," the actor says at the end of the video.

The video was captioned, "24 September 1982 Amitabh Bachchan return home from the hospital after the fatal accident on the set of Coolie & today after 37 years also, 24 September 2019, Amit ji awarded with DADASAHEB PHALKE AWARD. #amitabhbachchan (SIC)."

Amitabh is currently busy with Chiranjeevi in Surender Reddy's next titled Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. The flick will be released in languages including Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil. Apart from that, Amitabh is also set for Ayan Mukerji's next titled Brahmastra, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. The movie is slated for a 2020 release.
