Mumbai: Akshay Kumar and Kiara Adavni have come aboard for the Hindi remake of hit Tamil movie Kanchana, titled Laxmmi Bomb. It is being helmed by actor Raghava Lawrence who essayed the lead role in original version. 

The movie is all set to release on June 5, 2020. Akshay on Saturday shared the first look of the film on Twitter. In the image, the "Kesari" actor is seen applying kohl in his eyes.

 

He captioned the image: "Bringing you one bomb of a story - 'Laxmmi Bomb', starring Kiara Advani and yours truly! Bursting in cinemas on June 5, 2020. The remake of the super-hit Tamil horror comedy "Muni 2: Kanchana", "Laxmmi Bomb" revolves around Raghava, a cowardly man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender woman who takes revenge on the ones who destructed her life.

The Tamil film featured R. Sarathkumar, Raghava Lawrence, Lakshmi Rai, Kovai Sarala, Devadarshini and Sriman in pivotal roles.

This is not the first time Akshay and Kiara will be seen sharing screen space together. The two have also collaborated for the film Good News, which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh.
