New Delhi: Actor Aahana Kumra's trip to gorgeous Shimla went for a toss when she was held ransom by a disgruntled cab driver. The Lipstick under My Burkha star had reportedly booked the cab through MakeMyTrip from Shimla on March 23 en route to Amritsar and had paid for the trip on March 23 night.

However, it turned out that her cab driver did not receive the amount and decided to hold the actor hostage until he recovered the amount from the travel company, MakeMyTrip. The actor stayed online through the four hours long ordeal and continuously tweeted about the incident. She wrote, "Now I'm being held ransom in the middle of the road out of nowhere @makemytrip for the payment that's not been received by the cab service. Please do not make this worst for me!! It's not safe!!!!"

The Accidental Prime Minister actor was reportedly told by the company customer service providers to cancel the booking when they failed to rectify the issue with the cab delay. Aahana even shared her the details of her tax invoice on Twitter.

Though the actor managed to reach Amritsar safely, she continued to lash out at MakeMyTrip saying, "Just reached Amritsar safely. The driver was extremely overworked and sleepy but I'm only too grateful to everyone who has been in constant touch with me throughout my journey. It's been very scary for the first time and I really never wish to repeat this mistake ever again."

She also encouraged her fans to boycott the company and claimed that she may have reached safely courtesy her verified Twitter profile and not due to the efforts of the travel company.
