Bengaluru: Controversial seer Nithyananda of Bidadi Ashram near Bengaluru was speaking to his devotees at an event. In the event, he said that he had stopped sunrise for 40 minutes in Bidadi.

He said, "I asked the sun not to come out till I finish the flag hoisting.”

To this, he got a rousing applause from the devotees. Earlier too, his explanation of the principle ‘e=mc2,’ definition of the term ‘logic,’ and his theory that ‘people from other planets visit earth for educational tour’ had gone viral. He was also allegedly caught on camera in a compromising position with a devotee, but Nithyanada refuted any such claim and is facing legal trouble because of this.
