Income Tax raids at residence of Kumaraswamy’s relative

Shivamogga: Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's relative, DT Paramesh was found possessing more than Rs 6 crore cash. Income Tax officials have seized more money from aides which amount to Rs 10 crore.

 Officials stated that money was seized from bank lockers. Paramesh had earlier claimed that he had lost the locker keys, but on the day that the officials were supposed to break open the locker, Paramesh handed over the keys to them.

Rs 6 crore was found in the lockers alone. Continued searches led to a seizure of cash and ornaments estimated to be Rs 10 crore.

Chief minister of Karnataka in a statement had specifically said that Paramesh is his relative and that Paramesh was targeted only on political grounds and nothing was found from his premises.
