Diljit Dosanjh's short hair look in the film, Amar Singh Chamkila shocked the fans. Imitiaz Ali cleared the doubt and revealed that he wore a wig as a Turban and did not 'sacrifice a single strand of hair'.

Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra garnered loads of praise for their work in Imtaiz Ali's Chamkila. Parineeti did a prominent transformation and gained 16 kgs of weight to fit the role of Amarjot Kaur. Fans were also amazed to see Dilijit with short hair and without his Turban, and questioned if he had also changed his appearance and cut his hair short to fit the part of Amar Singh Chamkila.

Diljit Dosanjh has been articulate and vocal about not removing his Tuban or cutting hair for any role. But we still saw him with short hair in the film. Imtiaz Ali cleared the doubt and revealed that the Chamkila star did not cut a single strand of his hair and wore a 'wig as turban' in the film.

In an interview with Radio Nasha, Imtiaz was reluctant to share any personal details about the actor, however, he did settle the question and explained that Diljit "has not sacrificed a single hair for this film".

“I would not want to share his personal details, but yes, Diljit has worn a wig. That wig is like his turban only. He has not sacrificed a single hair for this film," he said during the interview.

"Because he played a character and knew how Chamkila looked, he managed to look the part with a wig. He donned the look very sincerely and with very good intentions," he added.

In his previous interviews, Diljit has been open about his choice of films and his conditions for roles. He has said in the past that he would never take up roles that require him to ditch his turban.
