Tamil Nadu deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and his son Ravindranath Kumar cast their votes at a polling station in Periakulam, Tamil Nadu on Thursday. OPS, as the deputy CM is fondly called, was accompanied by his family members to the booth. Reportedly, he had to wait for 45 minutes in the queue before he was able to cast his vote. Polling was going on briskly in Theni and it was largely peaceful in Andipatti and Periakulam where Assembly by-poll was underway. On Thursday, polling began for 38 of the 39 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The Election Commission rescinded polling in Vellore after seizing a massive cash haul.
