Mandya independent candidate Sumalatha Ambareesh had requested for KRPF protection during the election. One of her key opponents in the race for the Mandya poll is chief minister HD Kumaraswamy's son Nikhil. Reacting to this, Kumaraswamy said that PM Modi should arrange for security by seeking help from the American president. Sumalatha of course, had to respond.
