Bengaluru: For ensuring 15,000 migrant labourers and poor get two meals daily and serving hot and fresh food in packets right at their doorstep in Bengaluru, 100-plus volunteers who roamed streets just to reach the distressed workers, were honoured.
The volunteers identified as ‘Corona Warriors’ were honoured with certificates, gift boxes and mementos for their thankless job and risks they took in delivering food packets. Some took their scooter; some got their autos and tempos to serve the poor and migrants.
