A historic breakthrough occurred when Punjab's Kapurthala factory presented the first Vande Bharat Metro carriages, ushering in a new era of Indian rail construction.
Indian Railways introduced the Vande Bharat Metro, which promises to improve commuting with its improved design and increased capacity.
On Wednesday, the first look of the new Vande Bharat Metro came to light following Indian Railways' preparations for testing. The initial coaches for this metro train were produced at a facility in Kapurthala, Punjab.

Indian railways are preparing to usher in a new era of modern transportation with the launch of the Vande Bharat Metro, which is scheduled for testing in July of this year.
Initially, plans are in place to build 50 of these unique trains, with the possibility of expanding to 400. The Vande Bharat Metro, designed for speed and convenience, has a 100 km to 250 km range, providing passengers with quick access to short-distance destinations.
The Vande Bharat Metro's modular design allows for the extension of 16 carriages, enhancing its ability to serve more passengers.
Indian Railways operates around 82 Vande Bharat Express trains and wants to expand its fleet. The popularity of these trains prompted the creation of a new category called as Vande Metro.
These Metro Express trains are intended to provide a quick, shuttle-style service at an affordable price. According to initial proposals, the Vande Bharat Metro network will connect 124 cities within a 100-250 kilometer radius, allowing for both inter-city and intra-city travel.
The Vande Metro's planned lines include Delhi to Rewari, Agra to Mathura, Lucknow to Kanpur, Bhubhaneshwar to Balasore, and Tirupati to Chennai.
