Kolar: When Munikrishna, a resident of Kolar, Karnataka, took up cudgels on behalf of students studying at a government school, little did he know that he would end up being beaten up by a circle inspector.

The issue at hand was how a conductor of KSRTC refused to stop his bus at the designated stop to facilitate students of the government school (who have a bus pass) to board the bus.

Irked at the behaviour of the bus conductor, Munikrishna took him on as students protested in front of the bus for step-motherly treatment. At that point in time, the conductor raised a complaint with the circle inspector Sateesh, who summoned Munikrishna to the station, beat him up and forced an apology letter from him.

The complainant has now sought action against the accused.
