Karnataka: 4 of family die after bullock cart loses control, falls into Hassan lake

Hassan: In a tragic incident, a family of four got washed away after a gusty wind made their bullock cart lose control and swerve into a lake. The deceased have been identified as Rajiv Gowda (48), Sharadamma (40), Rachita (8) and Drithi (5).

The incident took place (on June 1) in Karnataka's Holenarasipura subdivision of Hassan district while they were heading to their farm to yield potatoes.

With the help of villagers and Holenarasipura police, the deceased family members and the cart were retrieved to the land.
