Another BJP candidate from West Bengal has been attacked late Thursday night. Trinamool Congress cadres allegedly attacked Samik Bhattacharya who is the BJP candidate from Dum Dum constituency, near Kolkata. His car was targeted near Nager Bazar area. Dum Dum goes to poll on the last phase amid extreme political faceoff between BJP and TMC.
TMC claims they were protesting Bhattacharya campaigning beyond 10 pm on Thursday which is when the campaigning for the last phase ends in Bengal after Election commission passed a diktat on Wednesday. Reports also suggest police rushed to 'rescue' Bengal BJP leader Mukul Roy after information reached that he may be attacked.
