Andhra Pradesh: Private bus falls into gorge in Vizianagaram; 15 passengers severely injured

Vizianagaram: As many as 15 people were severely injured after a private bus in which they were travelling plunged into a gorge at Andhra Pradesh's Vizianagaram on Tuesday (July 2) morning.

Speaking to reporters, Vizianagaram Police said that about 25 passengers were travelling in the bus during the mishap. Reportedly, the private bus company Gowrisankar Travels in Vizag, operates vehicles to Varanasi regularly.

While returning from Varanasi, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which fell into a gorge, somewhere between Khadgavalasa and Thotapalli villages in Vizianagaram district. The injured passengers were rushed to a nearby hospital.
