Nellore: While a group of children were playing in an open field, two among them slipped into a newly dug borewell on Monday (June 24).
The two children were identified as Mokshitha (3) and Gopiraj (4). After the revenue and police officials received the information, they swiftly reacted to the incident and successfully saved the four-year-old boy Gopiraj by digging a parallel pit next to the borewell.
However, the three-year-old girl Mokshitha was taken out and she was found unconscious and they rushed her to the nearby hospital. Later, the doctors said she was ‘brought dead’.
YSR Congress Party MLA from Kovur, Nallapareddy Prasanna Kumar Reddy rushed to the spot and coordinated the rescue operation. He also promised to arrange for compensation to the bereaved family.
