Doxxing has literally spelt trouble for several NRIs. Some have been terminated and some others have been fined. In all, it is a grave situation out there.

Bengaluru: Life of an NRI who decides to exercise his freedom of speech and expression can be literally hellish!

Here is a list of NRIs who have been pushed to the wall.

April 18: A Keralite businessman and filmmaker Sohan Roy forced to issue an apology for his video.

April 6-15: Technician Rakesh B. Kitturmath, as we reported earlier, chief accountant Bala Krishna Nakka and finance analyst Mitesh Udeshi are fired. A police complaint is filed against Sameer Bhandari, CEO of Future Vision Events & Weddings’.

March 2020: Indian chef Trilok Singh who worked at a restaurant in Dubai.

January 2020: Indian expat Jayant Gokhale draws flak for asking Keralite job seeker Abdulla SS to join protestors in Shaheen Bagh in New Delhi.

March 2019: Indian safety and security officer at Transguard Group in Dubai is sacked and deported.

June 2018: Rigging supervisor at an Abu Dhabi firm is fired.

June: 2018 JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai terminates contract with Michelin-starred chef Atul Kochhar after he puts up a post on Twitter saying that followers of Islam had “terrorised” Hindus for 2,000 years.

April 2017: 33-year-old Indian sacked.

The list is as it is published in Gulf News. Well, there is a well-oiled machinery to target Indians abroad.

People sitting in India introduce themselves to journalists abroad and openly declare that they want to report about extremism on foreign land.

On the other hand, similar elements sitting in foreign countries connive with these Indians and take the matter forward.

They have even put out posts in which they exhibit a sense of pride for getting NRIs under the scanner.

In fact, as we have published in our articles, a Congress support too has resorted to doxxing, endangering the lives of NRIs.
