Karnataka's Anna Bhagya scam: Siddaramaiah's flagship project benefited smugglers (Video)

Hubballi: Former Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah's  Anna Bhagya scheme has allegedly turned into a scam. During his regime, thousands of crores of money were spent on this scheme to give free rice and sell good quality rice at subsidised rates to people. Truckloads of rice under this scheme was reportedly smuggled and transported from Karnataka to Mumbai. Several rice bags were found in the truck. It had 25kg of rice in each pack. Police, who got the information on this alleged smuggling, waited for the trucks near Chabbi village of Hubballi district, Karnataka. The vehicle was seized with smuggled rice. It was a joint operation of food and civil supplies department with the police. Rice was polished and packed in different coloured bags to transport from Karnataka to other parts of the country.
