Forest officials rescue 6-feet-long rock python in Tamil Nadu

Tirunelveli: A 6-feet-long rock python was washed away by the severe rain in the district recently. The snake was spotted at Coutrallam Falls in Tamil Nadu. The python was spotted by the tourists, who were playing in the water. As the police were alerted, the forest officials rushed to the spot and rescued the python. 

Indian rock python is also called Indian python and python molurus, which is a non-venomous species found in tropical and subtropical areas of the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. It is generally light coloured than the Burmese python and reaches up to 3 m (9.8 ft).
