A video of a woman being dragged by her hair by a man and pushed inside a car is going viral on social media. The incident occurred at Mandya in Karnataka, where a woman named Janakamma was being forcibly dragged into a car to take her as bonded labourer. It is said that Janakamma along with her husband Chinnathambi were working at the house of the president of Maddur Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) KS Nagesh. The couple is said to have taken Rs 50,000 loan from him. But after working for some years, the couple shifted to Belalkere. Recently, Chinnatthambi passed away and Janakamma singlehandedly was working and raising her kids. But Nagesh is said to have come to know about the whereabouts of Janakamma and was seen assaulting and dragging her into the vehicle to take her back as a bonded labourer. After the video of this assault went viral, the accused was brought to the police station and questioned. Janakamma too filed a complaint against him and Nagesh along with his four associates have been arrested.
