The arrested included five women and two men belonging to Bengal, Mumbai and Gujarat.
The Andhra Pradesh police arrested seven people in connection with a drug racket in Vijayawada. The police received a tip off, following which they launched a manhunt. After the arrest, the accused people confessed to their crime and provided the police with further information on the illegal drug dealings taking place in the city.
