Andhra Pradesh: Mob attacks police station for arresting a man, cops grievously injured

A mob attacked Rapur police station in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh after a man named Rajesh was arrested by the cops. Rajesh of Rapur village was taken into custody for being drunk while driving. His mother came to the station, hit the sub-inspector and created a ruckus. Almost 200 people allegedly gathered and attacked the police station. SI Lakshman Rao and one constable met with head injuries. Two more constables were also injured. The DSP and CI immediately rushed to the Rapur police station to take stock of the situation. Four persons have been taken into custody in connection with this incident.
