For the 2019 general election, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has formed an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). While the SP is contesting 37 of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies, the BSP contesting in 38 constituencies in the state.
Lucknow: Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav on Friday released Samajwadi Party’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Announcing that their manifesto aims at bringing change in the society by providing social justice, Yadav said that the party will work towards making India prosper by reducing the gap between the rich and the poor.
After launching the manifesto, Yadav criticised the Narendra Modi –led NDA government for hiding figures of unemployment, farmer suicide, etc. He said that it is absolutely necessary that all the figures should be revealed to the public.

Recently the Congress also released their manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. While touting this manifesto as "Jan Awaz Ghoshnapatra", chairperson of the manifesto committee P Chidambaram ensured that the manifesto 2019 will address everyone's concerns.

“There was so much to be said, but we tried to accommodate everything in manifesto, so that it can it can address the concerns of the farmers, youth, dalits, those concerned over education, health, foreign policy and national security,” said Chidambaram.
