Mumbai: Student Of The Year gave us brilliant star cast Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra. Now, Student Of The Year 2 (SOTY2) starring Tiger Shroff, Ananya Pandey and Tara Sutaria, hit the screens today (May 10).
The movie is directed by Punit Malhotra and produced by Dharma Production and Fox Star Studio. The film has received mixed reviews so far and some say the actresses have done a fabulous job.
Few lucky fans who watched the movie early on Thursday, were thrilled by the acting skills of Tara and Ananya as they heaped praises on them, on social media.
While most them gave the movie three stars out of five, there were other who warned the audience to “watch at your own risk”.
There was a lot of expectation from the movie and needless to say that the movie is power-packed with action sequences, new school romance and some hard hitting stories.
While certain people liked the movie, Rahul Verma, a film sub-distributor across Delhi – NCR, has called SOTY 2 story line a “trash”. However he praised the cinematography of the film and the performance of the leading ladies Tara and Ananya.
Verma tweeted, “#SOTY2 is a trash mindless action, sorry(so called youth oriented college flick). @ItigerShroff should enroll himself in acrobatic instead of films,#TaraSutaria stands out while #AnanyaPandey is cute, story line is a trash(old routine drama) with good cinematography. Stars 2/5 (sic).”
