Hrithik Roshan says he wants to shift the release date of Super 30 to ‘save’ himself from ‘personal trauma and toxic mental violence’, Kangana Ranaut calls it a ‘sob story’

Mumbai: After the Twitter rants by Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel against him yesterday, Hrithik Roshan has decided to shift the release of his movie Super 30 from July 26. The new release date is yet to be announced.

On Thursday, Hrithik took to Instagram to announce his decision to postpone his film, saying that he doesn’t want his movie to be ‘desecrated by yet another media circus’. He also mentioned that he has taken this decision to ‘save’ himself from the ‘personal trauma and toxic mental violence’. The actor stated that the film’s producers are deciding on a new release date, which will be announced at the earliest. Hrithik also mentioned that he has been a victim of ‘harassment’ for the past few years, and he now wants his ‘helplessness’ to end.

A few hours later, Rangoli reacted to Hrithik’s announcement on her Twitter handle with a statement from her sister Kangana. Taking a dig at Hrithik, Kangana mentioned in her statement, “I don’t know why he wrote this sob story but I am glad MHK getting a solo release.”  The actress also congratulated her film Mental Hai Kya’s producer Ekta Kapoor for ‘making her way in this male-dominated industry’ and lauded her for her courage and power.

For those who came in late, on Wednesday Rangoli posted a series of tweets attacking Hrithik Roshan and calling him names like Jadoo and Pappu. Rangoli also didn’t spare Hrithik’s publicist and accused them of trying to spread negative publicity against her sister Kangana. Hrithik’s announcement to shift the date within a day of Rangoli’s Twitter rants indicates that perhaps the actor is looking for some peace of mind ahead of his film’s release.
