How to renew your passport online; Check steps and required documents

Visit the official website of Passport Seva at www.passportindia.gov.in.
 

Register first if you are a new user. If you already have an account, proceed to log in. 
 

Select the option 'apply for a new passport/renew an existing one.'
 

Now, choose the option for renewing the old passport. Submit your passport number and date of birth to proceed further. 
 

Upload all the necessary documents and fill in the required information to complete the application form. 
 

Proceed to submit a self-declaration form. 
 

Finally, submit the form, make the payment for the renewal of the passport. Then book your appointment schedule. 
 

A copy of current passport, passport size photo, birth certificate, proof of identity (Aadhaar card, DL, etc.), and proof of address (ration card, electricity bill, etc.).
