Bengaluru: As the political crisis in Karnataka enters its third day on Monday, a resolution seems like a far-fetched goal of the Congress and JD(S), and the coalition which said that God was on its side when it formed government, now faces the exit door. MyNation has tried to capture the situation with a meme.

Turmoil continues to haunt the Congress and the JD(S), the coalition partners in Karnataka, with a dozen of their MLAs submitting their resignations on Saturday.

Congress’s senior-most leader Ramalinga Reddy also joined hands with the rebels. On July 1 Hospet MLA Anand Singh has submitted his resignation to the Speaker. Six days later 12 MLAs reached Vidhana Soudha and submitted their resignations at the Speaker's office. Of these, three were JD(S) MLAs while nine belonged to the Congress.

Ramalinga Reddy, Ramesh Jarakiholi, Mahesh Kumatalli, Shivaram Hebbar, BC Patil, Muniratna, ST Somashekhar, Byrathi Basavaraj, Pratap Gowda Patil belong to the Congress, while Narayana Gowda, Gopalaiah and H Vishwanath belong to the JD(S).

As the rebel leaders left for Mumbai after putting in their papers, Congress and JD(S) leaders were left with a strategic time-out of three days to tackle the situation.

Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy, who was in the United States, arrived on Sunday (Jul 7) on a special chartered flight.
