Veteran Congress leader Siddaramaiah turns 72 today. He is known as an enthusiastic leader and one of the wittiest politicians of Karnataka. There is plenty of laughter whenever he addresses public. While he draws people with his humour, he annoys others with his curt remarks sometimes. He remains a seasoned politician who has stood the test of time and has completed a full five-year-term as Karnataka chief minister – a feat that is proving to be difficult nowadays in the state.

However, he is not without controversy. Photos of him with women leaders have gone viral plenty of time. Be it wrestling with former Mangaluru Mayor Kavita Sanil or a fan planting a kiss on his cheek, the former CM still takes it easy.

Siddaramaiah was born at Siddaramana Hundi in Mandya in 1948. A lawyer by profession, he came into politics by accident. Since then, he chose politics over practicing law and rose to the position of chief minister after he quit the JD(S) and joined the Congress in 2005. He served as Karnataka chief minister from 2013 to 2018. Though he’s enjoyed a successful reign of five years in the post, what is no secret is that his journey is not without controversy.

As Siddaramaiah turns 72 today, here’s a meme to show the secret of his success. All in good fun though.
