Congress president Rahul Gandhi's campaign seems to have heightened the pitch — the party has now roped in Bollywood singer Alisha Chinai to campaign along with him. In addition, the party has purchased the rights of the singer's legendary "Made in India" song for public performance.
The song has been rewritten so as to be rendered live by Alisha at every venue the Congress president holds a rally in. "We're currently holding rehearsals for Rahulji's next rally in Chhindwara. The moment Rahulji says that he wishes to see mobile phones with a 'Made In Chhindwara' tag on them, that would be the cue for Alisha ji to make her entry and start singing her epic song, now renamed 'Made in Chhindwara'. Never before have we ever seen or heard something like this in an Indian election campaign. Whether mobile phones will be made in Chhindwara or not, history sure will be!" a Congress spokesperson told MyNation special correspondent Kajrare Naina.
"It's not for nothing that they say 'Like father, like son' — Rajiv brought computers to India and, now, Rahul is bringing mobile phones!" stated Congress leader Shani M Aiyar.

The news has already sent hundreds of Congress workers and Lutyens journalists into a tizzy. "Wow! Time for the BJP to literally face some music from Rahul :) :)" tweeted journalist Palla Behosh.
The excitement found its way down south too. "With Alisha, Rahul Gandhi has surely put a leash on many. Way to go!" read the tweet from noted analyst, commentator and expert Dr SC Roman.
The BJP, on the other hand, tried to respond aggressively to the developments. "So what if they have Alisha? They're still no match for Amit Shah!" tweeted a vociferous BJP supporter. "The Congress is unable to take in Dassault after Dassault ..oops, assault after assault in every election they contest. That's why they are forced to Reliance on...sorry, rely on such measures. But they will continue to Rafale and Rafale. I mean, fail and fail!" exclaimed BJP spokesperson Dumbit Patra.
"Roping Alisha in is fine and all, but the song of hers which really applies to Rahul Gandhi is —
Baby baby baby mujhe log bole,
Hi baby, hello baby kyun bole?" tweeted IT cell chief Amit Maardiya — before his computer and phone were confiscated by the party president.
