Thiruvananthapuram: Sacked temporary bus conductors of the loss-incurring Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and their families have decided to boycott the upcoming Lok Sabha election. The threat of boycotting the election is the result of the state government’s decision to terminate their services.

The loss-incurring corporation had terminated 3,872 empanelled bus conductors following a directive from the high court on December 17. Earlier, the court observed that keeping empanelled employees would be “unfair” to those who have passed the written test to become KSRTC employees.
