Income tax raid at Congress leader Anil Lad’s hotel room in Ballari
Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Income Tax department is conducting raids on various locations. The recent one is Congress leader and former MLA Anil Lad, whose hotel room has been raided after information was given that there was money kept there. Lad blames opposition for furnishing “false information” about him
Ballari: Income Tax sleuths, who went to Ballari from Bengaluru, raided the hotel room of former MLA and Congress leader Anil Lad.
Lad spoke to reporters on Wednesday morning and confirmed that his room was raided.
He said that he had just arrived from Bengaluru for a meeting with the party workers and that the I-T officials landed at his place on the grounds that they have information of money being kept there. He also added that a notice has been issued, summoning him for inquiry.
Lad blamed his opponents of furnishing “false information” about him.
