
Sad story of Indian prisoner Wang Qi, who is in China longing to meet his family in India
Wang Qi was in Indian prisons for seven years before getting released in 1969. He married an Indian girl and lived in Madhya Pradesh. But in 2017 he was allowed to visit China to meet his paternal family. But now, sadly he is not being allowed to come to India and his family is waiting for his arrival.
In 1963, a former Chinese army surveyor crossed into India and was captured weeks after a war between the two countries. Wang Qi was then left in Madhya Pradesh for more than five decades before he was allowed to travel back home to China in 2017.The whole world witnessed the emotional reunion of Wang Qi with his family in China. But, after 30 months his story has taken an unexpected turn. Wang is now unable to return back to India. He has been waiting for over 4 months to renew his Indian visa, so that he could meet his Indian family. Here is Wang’s Story.
