The Punjab and Haryana high court issued notices to the Jammu and Kashmir government, and six men convicted in the rape and murder of an eight-year-old nomadic girl in Kathua on a plea by her father seeking enhanced punishment for them. Jahan, a petitioner in the triple talaq case in the Supreme Court, filed a complaint with the Kolkata Police alleging that she was being threatened and verbally abused for attending a Hanuman Chalisa recital in a hijab.
