Tamil Nadu: DMDK chief Vijayakanth in soup; bank puts properties up for auction

Chennai: Indian Overseas Bank in Chennai has reportedly auctioned off the properties of Dravida Murpokku Desiya Kazhagam (DMDK) chief Vijayakanth. The bank posted a notice on a Tamil daily stating that it is auctioning off the home and college belonging to Vijayakanth as a loan and interest collection activity. The notice comes after the actor-turned-politician failed to pay off loans to the tune of Rs 5 crore. The auction is scheduled to take place on June 26. The minimum asking price of a house in Saligrama is Rs. 3.04 crore.
