Tamil Nadu: 2 die after motorcycle fuel tank explodes in collision with minibus
One of the two people who was travelling on the motorcycle was charred to death as a result of the bike catching fire after a fuel tank explosion
Thoothukudi: In a tragic incident, two young men died on the spot in Tamil Nadu's Tirunelveli-Tiruchendur highway near Thoothukudi on Monday. According to reports, the motorcycle rider lost control of the bike which collided with a minibus headed in the opposite direction.
In the collision, the motorcyclist's fuel tank exploded leaving one person charred to death. Firefighters and the Srivaikuntam Police rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The corpse was later shifted to the government hospital in Thoothukudi for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, the police officials seized the minibus and took the driver into custody for further investigation.
