Ramanathapuram collectors create voter awareness through sand art
District Collectors used sand art to attract public and raise voter awareness. This is part of a series of systematic voters’ education and electoral participation programmes organised in Ramanathapuram
Ramanathapuram: Ahead of State's Lok Sabha election, district election officer K Veera Raghava Rao on Sunday, launched a series of voter awareness and systematic voters’ education and electoral participation programmes in Ramanathapuram. Through sand sculptures, they attempted to convey various messages. One of the depictions included a politician using money as bait to buy people's vote.
The district collector also initiated the screening of short films using the hi-tech LED publicity vehicle of the Department of Information and Public Relations at a bus station.
