Mandya bus tragedy: Kumaraswamy, Sumalatha thank PM Modi for announcing Rs 2 lakh compensation
Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and Mandya MP Sumalatha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for announcing Rs 2 lakh compensation to families of the victims who died in a bus accident in Mandya, on November 24.
Bengaluru: Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy thanked PM Modi for announcing Rs 2 lakh compensation to each family that lost its members in the November 24, 2018 bus tragedy in Mandya. Nearly 30 passengers died in the bus accident.
Mandya’s newly elected MP, Sumalatha Ambareesh took to Twitter to thank PM Narendra Modi for the compensation as the accident had occurred in her constituency. Karnataka government had announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each for the family of the deceased.
