Kerala CPM members get life sentence in BJP worker murder case
Five CPM workers were awarded life sentence by the Tellicherry additional sessions court for killing a BJP worker KV Surendran
Kannur: Tellicherry additional sessions court has awarded life sentence to five CPM workers for killing 62-year-old BJP worker KV Surendran. The accused are identified as Akhilesh, Lijesh, Kalesh, Vineesh and Shaijesh.
The five accused have also been asked to pay a fine of Rs 1 lakh each to the court. Surendran was murdered on March 7, 2008. Police rushed him to hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival.
