Karnataka: Mother of three drowns children, hangs self
According to reports, the woman was subjected to torture by her drunk husband daily, which led her to take the drastic step of drowning her children before committing suicide
Koppal: Distressed over the alleged mental and physical torture by her husband, Yellamma (30), decided to end her life on Monday (June 17) evening by hanging herself from the ceiling of her house in Koppal's Kuknoor city in Karnataka.
The woman also drowned her three children; Akshatha, Kavya and Nagraj, who were still under the age of 10 before ending her own life.
The incident came to light after her husband, Umesh Barakera, entered the house on Tuesday (June 18) morning, after he was left to sleep outside the house.
Kuknoor Police have registered a case of suicide and have begun investigation.
