Karnataka: Husband sets pregnant wife ablaze for refusing to pay dowry

Chitradurga: A 20-year-old pregnant woman was allegedly set on fire by her husband after she refused to pay dowry. The victim is identified as Maheroon Nabi (20) from Karnataka's Chitradurga district. According to the doctor's report, about 60% of the victim's body was burnt in the incident.
The pregnant woman is battling for life in a private hospital in Chitradurga. A case has been registered by the victim's family members in Bharamasagara Police station. Based on the complaint, police officials have taken the accused into custody. Further investigation is underway.
