Karnataka crisis: DK Shivakumar supporters protest opposing treatment of Mumbai Police, BJP

Karnataka Congress minister DK Shivakumar was detained by the police while he staged a dharma demanding to meet rebel MLAs in Mumbai hotel, but was denied permission. But it is said that they met BJP leaders instead. Congress supporters staged a protest opposing the treatment meted out to Shivakumar in Mumbai.

Shivamogga: Congress leader and Karnataka water resources minister DK Shivakumar’s supporters staged a protest in Shivamogga, Karnataka, and shouted slogans against the BJP for the way the minister was treated in Mumbai. The police there took DK Shivakumar into custody after he was denied permission to enter the hotel where the rebel MLAs were lodged. But sources said that BJP leaders were allowed to meet the rebel leaders inside the hotel. Reacting to the same, Karnataka BJP president BS Yeddyurappa said, it is Congress' own bickering and BJP has nothing to do with it. He also said that rebel MLAs gave the permission for BJP leaders to talk while, they kept Shivakumar away because they did not want to talk to him.
