Kamal Haasan slams Tamil Nadu government for lackadaisical attitude in sexual assault cases
Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan slammed the government for its inaction in not issuing prompt orders to the police department when cases of the Pollachi sexual assault case and the Coimbatore sexual assault and murder came to the fore.
Coimbatore: Kamal Haasan was in Coimbatore addressing the media about the death of the 7-year-old girl who was found dead in an alley near her house. Kamal took the opportunity to slam the government and said that it is slacking off in this case and the Pollachi sexual assault case.
The actor-turned-politician said, “There is corruption everywhere and there is no doubt that this government is corrupt.”
Kamal Haasan’s comments come after the state and the nation was taken aback by the incident of the Pollachi sexual assault case. The case also involved a former AIADMK member who has now been sacked from the party.
