India’s crime rate lowest in five decades
According to the National Crime Records Bureau or NCRB report crime rate in India is at its lowest in the past five decades.
The latest report by the National Crime Records Bureau or NCRB suggests that the crime rate in India is the lowest in the last five decades. The data for 2017 which was released by the NCRB says that the murder rate was at 2.49 per lakh population. It suggests that this is the lowest since 1957, barring the year 1963 when it stood at 2.34 per lakh population.
