Justice SA Bobde will be taking oath on November 18 succeeding Justice Ranjan Gogoi. So today, let’s throw light on our next CJI.
Bobde was born on April 24, 1956 in Nagpur. He comes from a family of lawyers. Bobde’s grandfather was a lawyer. His father, Arvind Bobde, was advocate-general of Maharastra in 1980 and 1985. His elder brother late Vinod Arvind Bobde was a senior Supreme Court lawyer and constitutional expert.
